Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured

  1. Process Documentation
    1. Marine Technical Service Technician will review RFQ contract / Order contract / purchase order to establish all contractual and technical requirements of the order including, but not limited to, review of customer part numbers, applicable specifications, drawing revision levels, Milwaukee Valve’s ability to supply requested item, and/or any changes from the last procurement.
    2. Marine Technical Service Technician will submit appropriate procedures, issue requests for modifications / amendment, if required, and advise appropriate Milwaukee Valve personnel / departments of any special requirements of the order.
  2. Manage Contract Workflow
    1. Marine Technical Service Technician will develop documentation to record review, maintain spreadsheets and file paperwork relative to all Marine RFQ’s and Order’s.
    2. Marine Technical Service Technician attends periodic meetings, providing guidance and documentation on customer obligations.
  3. Provide Technical Support
    1. Marine Technical Service Technician duties involve providing direct or indirect support to internal users on how to retrieve documents or pertinent information as needed for Marine RFQ’s and Order’s.
  4. Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (AS.) from two-year College or University in engineering, mechanical preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook).
